Summer is on it’s way…

Next Sunday, 27th March, is not only Mothers Day but it is also the day that we move our clocks forward an hour to mark the start of British Summer Time!!!!
Yay!!!! or is it nay?

Personally, I love the Summer time as I love to be outdoors, smelling the freshly cut grass, picnics in the park and mostly, being able to wear flip flops again. However, not everybody shares this joy, as this is the time of year where pollen is at a high and therefore comes the misery, also known as Hay Fever.

Hay Fever symptoms:

  • sneezing and coughing
  • a runny or blocked nose
  • itchy, red or watery eyes
  • itchy throat, mouth, nose and ears
  • loss of smell
  • pain around your temples and forehead
  • headache
  • earache
  • feeling tired

If you have asthma, you might also:

  • have a tight feeling in your chest
  • be short of breath
  • wheeze and cough

For many, antihistamines will relieve some of these symptoms but not for everyone, hence why our clinic is hosting a Hay Fever Injection clinic, with registered nurse, Louise, on the 2nd of April. Call us to make an appointment.

In the meantime, please remember your SPF folks, the sun may not feel strong but it should be worn all year through.

Much love
